A woman from British Columbia is dead after a crash on Highway 16 on Wednesday.
According to the RCMP, officers were called to the site of the crash near Langenberg at around 6:30 p.m.

“Investigation determined an SUV and a semi collided,” the RCMP said in a statement.
“The driver of the SUV, a 41-year-old female from BC, was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. Her family has been notified.”
The driver of the semi was injured in the crash, and was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the Mounties said.
While that stretch of highway is once again open to traffic, the RCMP noted that the crash remains under investigation, with help from a collision reconstruction expert.
