Mark Loshack, better known as “Shack,” has been a familiar voice on 650 CKOM for three decades. When you tune in, you’re not just getting the top local news and weather — you’re getting it from a broadcast legend who’s got his finger on the pulse of Saskatoon and the province. Joined by his co-hosts Gerald Bauman, Erin McNutt, and Kevin Martel, Shack’s mornings are packed with news, sports, and stories from the 650 CKOM News Team.
A True Community Guy
If there’s one thing Shack loves, it’s giving back. He’s a founding member of the Care & Share Saskatoon board, which raises funds for inner-city school kids. You’ll also find him emceeing events, hosting fundraisers, or interviewing Saskatoon’s movers and shakers. His heart for the community and deep ties to local business leaders make him more than just a radio host—he’s a Saskatoon staple.
Meet the Shack Fam
When Shack’s not on the air, he’s holding it down at home with his wife Mona and daughter Emily. Shack’s role as a husband and dad is just as important as his on-air presence, and family life keeps him grounded in between all the radio action.

MEET THE ANCHORS

Gerald Bauman is a familiar trusted voice who has brought Saskatoon and area listeners the news for over 30 years. He has won multiple national awards for Best Radio Newscast. Gerald is a proud dad to three boys.

Erin McNutt, like so many people, chose to live in Saskatoon. Originally from Hamilton, she loves the size and vibe of Saskatoon and walks into work at 4 a.m. each morning to deliver our listeners the news.
