Five people are in RCMP custody after shots were fired at a home on the Montreal Lake First Nation Thursday morning.
When officers from Montreal Lake, Prince Albert, Sturgeon Lake and Waskesiu responded to the home at 9 a.m. the suspects had already fled the scene.
The gunfire prompted a lockdown of a school, a daycare and the band office as a precaution.
A vehicle linked to the suspects was located later in the day and five people were arrested
No one was hurt and RCMP report all of the suspects involved were known to each other.
Police have not provided further information about charges at this time.
