An investigation by the RCMP’s Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit has ended with nine arrests and the seizure of drugs and weapons.
According to RCMP, the investigation began in November of 2017 when police learned about a drug trafficking organization responsible for bringing large quantities of cocaine and marijuana into the region.
During July and August, officers executed search warrants at several homes in the P.A. area, leading to several arrests.
Officers also seized four vehicles, RCMP said, along with “weapons and a large quantity of drugs,” though specific details of the seizures were unavailable.
“Investigators believe this group of people were responsible for a significant amount of illegal drugs flowing into the Prince Albert area,” the RCMP said in a statement Aug. 9.
During the investigation, officers arrested Brent Tyrone Fizzard, Benjamin Martin Anthony Henry, Jessica Rayleen Keller, Kevin Wayne Keller, Tiffany Keller, Jonathan Michial Mah, Amanda Rose Marchand, Cory Wayne Marchand, and Chase Dennis Sinclair.
All nine suspects were charged with drug-related offences, RCMP said, and all made their first court appearances Aug. 6.
