A pair of 16-year-old boys are facing a long list of charges after fleeing from Saskatoon police in a stolen vehicle.
Police said the boys ignored a traffic stop on 19th Street and Avenue T at around 3 a.m. Sunday morning.
The suspect vehicle sped away, and the police plane tracked them all the way to Marquis Drive and Wanuskewin Road on the northern edge of the city. Spike belts were put down in the intersection, which disabled the vehicle.
Police said the pair tried to flee on foot, but were tracked down by police dogs and arrested.
Both teens were in Saskatoon provincial court Monday on eight criminal code charges, including possession of stolen property, evading police, and driving while disqualified.
