Saskatoon police and the fire department have been on scene near the Circle Drive North bridge since a report of a person falling into the water early Sunday.
The 9-1-1 call was received around 6:30 a.m.
“A witness on scene that said ‘a female had fallen off of the bridge and impacted the water, splashed around and then was lost from sight,'” said Saskatoon Fire Department Battalion Chief Steve Brissaw.
The fire department’s river rescue team, police and STARS assisted with the initial search.
As of late Sunday afternoon, nobody has been located in the river.
