Police made a big dent in the Queen City’s illegal drug supply on Friday, seizing several kilograms of both methamphetamine and fentanyl.
According to police, the value of the drugs seized was roughly $700,000.

On Friday, police stopped the vehicle of a suspected drug trafficker, seizing about a kilogram of meth and roughly nine ounces of fentanyl in the process.
Police later executed a search warrant at a home on James Hill Road, which turned up about 3.1 kilograms of fentanyl, 3.4 kilograms of meth, roughly 740 grams of cocaine and about $28,000 cash.
A 21-year-old man from Brampton, Ont. is now facing criminal charges including possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
He made his first court appearance in Regina on Monday, police said.
The case marks the second time in two days that police in Regina made a major drug seizure.
Police said officers with the Regina Police Service’s Crime Reduction Team executed a search warrant at an Ottawa Street home last Thursday, seizing nearly a kilogram of fentanyl along with 549 grams of cocaine and several firearms.
