As a rookie receiver, Ajou played in 12 games last season and caught 20 balls for 307 yards and two touchdowns. A late season injury kept him out of the Roughriders lineup through the end of the regular season and two playoff games.
The Brooks, Alberta native was taken by the Roughriders in the seventh round of the 2024 CFL Draft. He played his college football at the University of South Florida, transferring over from Clemson University where he was originally recruited by national championship winning coach Dabo Swinney.
Ajou’s CFL rights will remain with the Riders through 2026. He will be lacing up the skates for the Roughriders Winter Classic on Feb. 1 at Merlis Belsher Place.
