Extreme cold followed a major winter storm into Saskatchewan.
Warnings from Environment Canada were in effect Tuesday morning for Saskatoon and west-central Saskatchewan, including the areas around the Battlefords, Kindersley, Lloydminster, Meadow Lake, Outlook, and Prince Albert.
The warnings were cancelled just before 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
The cold warnings came after a major storm dropped more than a foot of snow on much of the province during the weekend.
While road and highway conditions were tricky on Monday in many areas, producers welcomed the extra snow, which could help stave off drought-like conditions in fields and pastures in the spring.
