Two men are dead after they drowned in separate incidents in Saskatchewan.
According to the RCMP, a 35-year-old man drowned in Lake Diefenbaker on Saturday.
Police said they got a call about the incident Saturday evening and a search was started. The man’s body was found Sunday at about 7:15 a.m. by Outlook Fire and Rescue.
The Mounties said their investigation determined there wasn’t anything criminal about the incident, so they didn’t provide any other information.
On Sunday, the RCMP responded to the report of a drowning in the South Saskatchewan River, about 20 kilometres south of Saskatoon on Highway 219.
Police said a 31-year-old man had been pulled from the river and was later pronounced dead on the scene by paramedics.
The RCMP said the incident was an accidental drowning and didn’t offer any other information.
