The Saskatchewan Roughriders have added an offensive lineman from Illinois to their roster.
The Green and White signed 6-foot-4, 302-pound offensive lineman Phil Saleh, the team announced Thursday morning.
Saleh played five seasons with the Fordham University Rams from 2018 to 2022.
“Saleh helped the Rams offence score an average of 49.5 points and 413.8 passing yards per game, the best marks in the Patriot League,” the Roughriders said in a statement.
“In his last two seasons, the 23-year-old played right tackle on an offensive line that led the conference in fewest sacks allowed and from 2019 to 2022, led the league in total offensive yards per game.”
Saleh is a three-time First-Team All-Patriot League offensive lineman, the Riders added.
He’ll wear No. 68 during training camp. The Riders’ rookie camp is currently underway in Saskatoon.
The Riders will play their first pre-season game at home May 27 against the B.C. Lions. The regular season kicks off on the road June 11, when the Roughriders face the Edmonton Elks.
