A 25-year-old woman is recovering after a shooting near St. Paul’s Hospital early Friday.
The Saskatoon Police Service said officers responded at about 3:30 a.m., to a call of a shooting in the 100 block of Avenue M South.
At the scene, officers found a woman who had suffered a non-life-threatening injury. She told them she had been approached by people who shot her and then took off.
Another patrol officer who was in the area at the time saw a suspicious car being driven near the scene of the shooting. The car was found a few minutes later abandoned in St. Paul’s Place.
The car, a blue Pontiac Sunfire, had been reported stolen from North Battleford.
