The Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section has arrested a 35-year-old in connection with a murder that took place on Thursday.
Police received a call around 4:30 p.m. about an injured man in 100 block of Main Street before a second man was also identified to be hurt and transported to the hospital.
Shortly after, police received a report of shots fired in the 700 block of Melrose Avenue.
Officers arrived to find a man dead behind an apartment building.
The victim has been identified as 29-year-old Brandon Baxandall.
The suspect is being charged with first-degree murder and will appear in court Tuesday.
Police say two men with slim builds were spotted fleeing the scene. Both were wearing dark clothing, and one was carrying a bag with a strap, according to a statement issued on Friday.
