The Saskatoon Police Service is investigating a pair of armed robberies that occurred in the city Monday morning.
At about 10:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of an incident at a pharmacy in the 1200 block of Idylwyld Drive, where two men carrying a gun entered the business. They tried but failed to get into a safe before taking off in a vehicle.
Then, at about 11:15 a.m., staff at a pharmacy in the 200 block of Acadia Drive reported two men had entered the store and attempted to get into a safe. A gun was fired during the incident, but no one was hurt.
The suspects again are believed to have fled in a vehicle.
One suspect was said to be wearing a black hoodie, black sweat pants, a black toque and gloves. The second man was wearing a burgundy-coloured hoodie and pants, white running shoes and a black or blue toque, and was carrying a black bag. Both suspects were wearing blue medical masks.
The police didn’t have a description of the getaway vehicle.
