Snowmobilers in Saskatoon could face charges if residents complain: SPS

Snowmobiles on Saskatoon’s streets have become a common sight in the past few days.
After the snowstorm hit the city on the weekend, many were left without the ability to drive. But fresh powder left snowmobilers with an opportunity to help out the community.
So the Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) said no charges were laid as a result.
But the SPS also said it is illegal to ride a snowmobile within city limits.
After a few days of being able to show some discretion, the SPS said it will have to charge snowmobilers if residents file complaints to the service.
The perpetrators would get a ticket with no voluntary payment if charged and would have to head straight to court.
