Two incidents Monday night sent people to St. Paul’s Hospital looking for help.
At 9:10 p.m. officers responded to the hospital where a 36-year-old man had gone for treatment of serious injuries.
He told police he was attacked by a man with a knife while walking on railroad tracks near 29th Street East.
The suspect is described as Caucasian, around 20-years-old with short hair.
At the time of the assault, he wore a black shirt and blue jeans.
Around 10:30 p.m. officers were called back to the hospital when a woman with a gunshot wound came in for treatment.
The 18-year-old has serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Officers are still trying to piece together what happened including where the shooting occurred.
They say the woman has not given them any information.
