Saskatoon police and firefighters searched for a person in the South Saskatchewan River in the area between Sid Buckwold Bridge and Traffic Bridge on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency services received reports of a person in the water around 1:45 p.m.
Saskatoon Fire said in a release they had dispatched two rescue units, one fire engine and one battalion chief to the scene.
Water rescue crews were using sonar technology to try and find any abnormalities in the water that could indicate a person under the surface.
Both the police service and fire department said they hadn’t located anyone as of 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
