Good things come in three’s – and for the Saskatchewan Rush, the team’s third season in the province could also mean a huge payout for one lucky fan.
The Rush have challenged fans to correctly guess the outcome for each week’s game for a chance to win a $100,000 and their pick of either a 2018 GMC Sierra or 2018 Ford F-150 truck.
“All it takes is a little knowledge of the team, and a lot of luck,” Rush owner Bruce Urban said in a news release Friday.
During the Rush Bracket Challenge, fans will need to correctly predict the winner of every Saskatchewan Rush game and the eventual National Lacrosse League Champion for the 2017–18 season.
The contest, which will be conducted on a weekly basis, is also a way for the team to get fans engaged with away games.
People taking part will be prompted to enter their game pick via text message every Thursday before 5 pm on Rush game weeks.
Entries are limited to one per phone number. If multiple people correctly predict the outcome of each game – and the league champion – they will be entered into a draw to win the grand prize.
If a fan prediction fails, they’re eliminated from winning the grand prize. But, they can still qualify for weekly prizes of VIP experiences, Rush tickets, and Rush merchandise signed by the players.
Those who correctly pick a Rush win will be entered to win that week’s prize. In the event the team loses, the weekly prize will be deferred to the following Rush game week.
Fans can sign up online from now until 5 p.m. Saskatchewan time on Dec. 14.
You must be a Saskatchewan resident 19 years or older to enter.
