Moose Jaw RCMP have charged a 31-year-old Regina man after an armed robbery and police chase Tuesday evening.
RCMP said officers were dispatched around 5:15 p.m. for a report of an armed robbery at a gas station just east of Moose Jaw on Highway 1.
The suspect entered the business with a gun and demanded money and cigarettes. He then left the scene in a black four door car eastbound towards Regina.
A RCMP member from the Milestone detachment was able to locate the suspect vehicle which eventually exited on Pinkie Road then on a gravel road where it got stuck.
The suspect got out and ran away on foot but was eventually arrested by police at a CP Rail Yard near the Global Transportation Hub.
The man, whose name has not been released, is facing, among other things, armed robbery, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a stolen vehicle, flight from police, and dangerous driving.
He makes his first court appearance in Moose Jaw on Thursday.
