Jamie Nye has been a diehard fan of the Roughriders as long as he can remember. He arrived at News Talk 980 CJME in 2009 after a couple of years in Edmonton where he served as sideline reporter for Edmonton Eskimo games. The University of Regina Journalism grad has become one of the most trusted and respected reporters, not only in terms of covering the Riders but the Canadian Football League at large. Nye is the host of the #1 sports show in Saskatchewan, The Green Zone as well as a contributing writer to the CFL’s official website.
Warren ‘Woodsy’ Woods has spent over 40 years in broadcasting. He started out as a Top 40 radio DJ before moving on to TV sports. After nearly 26 years at Global Television, Woodsy moved to Rawlco Radio, where he serves as the CJME morning sports announcer as well as a contributor to the Green Zone. After so many years in sports broadcasting he has had the chance to cover events from Grey Cup games and briers to World Curling Championships and World Junior Hockey championships. Woodsy likes to golf in the summer and curl in the winter (though he’s not very good at either) and spend time with his partner Shelly. He also tries to travel to the Okanagan as often as possible to see his two grandkids to spoil them rotten.
Glen is a defensive back who played eleven seasons for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL. He ranks among the CFL all-time leaders in interceptions with 51. Suitor was a three-time CFL All-Star (1991–93) and a four-time Western All-Star (1989, 1990, 1992, 1993). He won a Grey Cup with Saskatchewan in 1989 (and was the holder on the game winning field goal). Notably, Glen has been broadcasting games on TSN since 1995, and has become one of the most recognizable CFL analysts in Canada. Glen is a member of the Green Zone, and joins the show nightly on News Talk 980 CJME and News Talk 650 CKOM.
Regina-born and raised, Darrell Davis wrote for three Saskatchewan newspapers, two national newspapers, numerous magazines and assorted book publishers before embracing the new media of blogs, Tweets and sports-talk radio. He’s now a co-host on the Green Zone, a sports-talk show on Rawlco Radio throughout Saskatchewan. While employed by the Regina Leader-Post he covered everything from high school sports to Olympic games to world curling championships, with a 21-year stint focusing on the CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders that has led him to attend 27 Grey Cup games and getting inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame’s media wing in 2006. A widowed father of two adult sons (Austin and Tanner), who accept his obsessions with racquetball and golf, Darrell recently wrote “Fire on Ice: Why Saskatchewan Rules the NHL” while serving on volunteer committees affiliated with the Canadian Football Hall of Fame, Saskatchewan Hockey Hall of Fame, Regina Sports Hall of Fame, Racquetball Canada and the Football Reporters of Canada.

The Green Zone has a fun show planned for you today. Riders were back at practice today. One of their top receivers left practice and is out for the week. The Blue Jays are back on the field tonight looking to gain ground after a New York Yankees...
1. The Riders don’t look like they’ll have a lot of changes from last week’s game as Naaman Roosevelt and Markus White appear to be the only two coming on to the roster from the last week, as they replace Devin Wilson and Derek Walker who are battling some undisclosed injuries. I’m excited to see Naaman... //Read More
1. Chris Getzlaf has a strain/sprain in his foot as Head Coach Corey Chamblin updated us on what the receiver suffered yesterday. Lets just say it looked a lot worse than it possible could end up being. Chamblin said for sure out this week and I’m guessing it will be longer term than that. That allows Nic Demski... //Read More
1. Are the Riders cursed? Chris Getzlaf returned to practice for all of a couple of routes until he was helped off. I just missed it but Lee Jones of CTV just so happened to be filming Getzlaf and gave me a sneak preview of what you’ll see during his sports tonight at six o’clock. Getzlaf was running a simple... //Read More
