A truck driver was sent to hospital in Saskatoon Thursday morning after a semi rollover near the Cory Potash mine.
Saskatoon Fire said they responded to the scene along Highway 7, five kilometres west of the city, at around 11:11 a.m. after taking a 911 call about the rollover.
Crews found a semi tractor on its side with two trailers rolled into a ditch. The driver was trapped in the cab with multiple injuries.
Rescue technicians had to use hydraulic rescue tools, otherwise known as the “jaws of life,” to free the driver before he was taken to hospital.
The truck was loaded with rocks at the time of the rollover.
