A 39-year-old man has been charged with arson in connection to a deadly fire in Caswell Hill last Friday.
Around 2:30 a.m. on July 6, firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from the rear of the home in the 200 block of Avenue F North.
Inside the home, crews found a body.
No further details about the victim have been made public.
Saskatoon police issued a news release Monday afternoon on the charges and noted the accused appeared in court earlier that day.
Saskatoon’s major crime unit is still investigating the death, which was deemed suspicious the day of the fire. An autopsy was started Monday.
