Five people have been arrested following a significant drug bust by Saskatoon police.
An investigation by the Saskatoon Integrated Drug Enforcement Street Team (SIDEST) into fentanyl trafficking began in April.
During a May 31 traffic stop, SIDEST members noticed drug trafficking activity in the 100 block of 3rd Avenue South and arrested two men aged 30 and 33.
After those two arrests, search warrants at an apartment in the same block of 3rd Avenue and a home in the 600 block of Gillies Way led to the arrests of two more men, aged 62 and 33, and a 60-year-old woman.
Police seized more than $400,000 in cash, 21 kilograms of methamphetamine, around 4,400 fentanyl pills, more than 2,400 grams of cocaine in addition to some crack cocaine, hash, marijuana and heroin.
Two vehicles and a cocaine press were also seized in the search warrants.
All five people are facing multiple drugs and possession-related charges.
Police will unveil the items nabbed in the drug bust at a media availability later this week.
