Saskatoon police are continuing to look into the sudden death of a man in a downtown apartment on Easter Sunday.
Police were called around 11:30 p.m. on April 1 and were told there was an injured man in an apartment on the 200 block of 5th Avenue North.
When officers arrived, they found the man dead.
650 CKOM confirmed with a cousin the man is 54-year-old Colin Sutherland from Beardy’s and Okemasis Cree Nation.
Jaye Cameron said the family is being told police are treating the death as a homicide.
Major crimes and forensic units, along with the coroner’s office, are investigating the death.
