Sask. Rush aims to end playoff drought as training camp begins

The final weekend of training camp is set for Nov. 22-24 back in Saskatoon.
A fixed-wing West Wind Aviation plane crashed shortly after takeoff Wednesday evening near the Fond du Lac airport.
According to RCMP, 22-passengers and three crew members were onboard when the aircraft was found less than a kilometre from the airstrip around 6:15 p.m.
Multiple injuries are reported, RCMP said a number of people suffered injuries serious enough to require air ambulance.
In a media release, police say there did not appear to be any fatalities and more emergency and rescue resources were on the way from the Royal Canadian Air Force and Search and Rescue.
West Wind CFO Rick Philipenko told 650 CKOM the primary emphasis at this point is the passenger and crew.
“We want to make sure they’re looked after,” he said.
According to Philipenko, the flight was scheduled to travel from Fond du Lac to Stoney Rapids.
Fond du Lac is about 75 kilometres south of the Saskatchewan-Northwest Territories border.
