Police were made aware of the allegations in early 2023 when a member of the public brought concerns forward to police.
The Regina Police Service (RPS) took those concerns seriously and suspended the member. RPS also removed his access to all police databases.
Semenchuck was charged on March 11, following an extensive investigation and consultation with Crown Prosecution.
He will make his first court appearance on April 22.
