A 38-year-old Saskatoon man is facing charges in connection with a string of nine armed robberies, and two more attempted robberies.
According to police, the robberies took place between December 19, 2024 and January 2.

One of the alleged robberies took place on Christmas Eve, when officers were called to a gas station on Preston Avenue South.
“An employee reported that a male had entered the business, demanded the till be opened, and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes,” the Saskatoon Police Service said in a statement. “The suspect was armed with a knife at the time of the incident.”
Nobody was injured during the robbery, police said.
Another of the alleged incidents took place on January 2. Officers were called to a business on McKercher Drive after an employee reported a robbery.
In that case, police said the man entered the business armed with a knife and demanded cash before taking off. Once again, no injuries were reported.
Police said the 38-year-old man was identified as a suspect during the investigation, and was arrested. He’s now facing nine robbery charges, and two charges of attempted robbery.
