A 16-year-old boy was attacked at a shopping mall in the 3500 block of 8th Street East Monday afternoon.
Police responded to reports of an assault around 4:30 p.m., where a group of people became “confrontational” towards someone sitting outside the store.

Saskatoon police said multiple suspects were seen hitting the victim.
The situation escalated when one suspect struck the victim with a machete. The group fled once officers arrived.
The 16-year-old boy suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Two suspects were located on a city transit bus parked outside and were arrested. Two 15-year-olds were charged with assault.
The suspect who hit the victim with a machete has not been found. At the time of the incident, he was wearing glasses, a red hat and black pants. He had a light-coloured backpack over a black sweater with black shoes.
Saskatoon police believe the incident is not random.
