Regina Police Service (RPS) made three arrests after loaded firearms were found during a traffic stop in the city on Sunday. Two adults and a youth, 17, are now facing 34 charges between them.
RPS said in a news release on Monday that officers were called to the 4600 block of 4th Avenue in the Transcona neighbourhood around 9 a.m. on Feb. 9 after they received a report of a weapons offence involving firearms. Police did not say what that offence was in the release.

RPS said they found a vehicle associated with that report shortly after being called and conducted a “high-risk traffic stop” near 4th Avenue.
Three people inside the vehicle were arrested without incident, and police said a search then found two firearms.
A 29-year-old man from Biggar has been charged with possession of a loaded firearm, two counts of careless storage of a firearm, possession of an unauthorized firearm, two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm in a vehicle, and a number of counts of possession of a firearm after being prohibited.
A 32-year-old John man from Regina has been charged with possession of a loaded firearm, two counts of careless storage of a firearm, possession of an unauthorized firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm in a vehicle, and a number of counts of possession of a firearm after being prohibited.
As well, a 17-year-old youth was charged with possession of a loaded firearm, two counts of possession of an unauthorized firearm, possession of an unauthorized firearm, two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm in a vehicle, failure to comply with a court order, and three counts of identity fraud.
All three appeared in court on Monday to face their charges.
