Police in Saskatoon are investigating the death of a 96-year-old man whose body was found on Lochrie Crescent in the city’s Fairhaven neighbourhood on Tuesday.
The Saskatoon Police Service noted that foul play is not suspected in the man’s death.
The man’s body was found on the same block as a care home for seniors. 650 CKOM contacted Northern Light Care Homes, but the operator of the facility declined to comment.

The investigation follows a similar case in the same neighbourhood earlier this week.
On Monday, the body of a 19-year-old woman was discovered in a Fairhaven park on Pendygrasse Road, very close to Lochrie Crescent, which connects directly to Pendygrasse.
In that case, police also noted that foul play is not believed to be a factor.
Tribal Chief Mark Arcand, leader of the Saskatoon Tribal Council which runs a 106-bed emergency wellness centre in Fairhaven, said more needs to be done to keep people safe in cold weather.
Environment Canada had extreme cold warnings in effect for Saskatoon early in the week, warning that wind chills will drop below -40 C.
“Whatever the circumstances, nobody in our community should ever lose their life to the cold,” Arcand said in a statement after the woman’s body was discovered.
“We have to look out for one another, and have proper supports and facilities in place to ensure people are kept safe.”
