Three people are facing charges after a loaded gun was thrown at a police vehicle during a high-speed chase on Highway 2 on Thursday.
Saskatchewan RCMP said in a news release on Friday that Saskatchewan RCMP’s Prince Albert Traffic Services saw a speeding vehicle on Highway 355 on Dec. 5 and attempted a traffic stop before the vehicle drove away at high speed.

Prince Albert RCMP was advised to look out for the vehicle, which was seen travelling southbound on Highway 2.
Police found the vehicle on Wahpeton Dakota Nation and unsuccessfully tried to stop it again.
As officers followed the vehicle, the occupants threw a number of items at the police vehicles, including a loaded firearm that was later recovered. No one was injured.
The vehicle stopped on Sturgeon Lake First Nation and three people were arrested. Police did not say what time of day any of the events occurred.
Police said the vehicle had been reported stolen to the Prince Albert Police Service, and officers found a large lump and several individual packages of crystal methamphetamine inside after a search.
A 31-year-old woman and 27-year-old man from Prince Albert and a male teenager from Wahpeton Dakota Nation are all facing charges including theft, a number of firearm offences, possession of methamphetamine) and assaulting a police officer with a weapon.
The teenager was also charged with fleeing from police and dangerous driving
All appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Friday.
