A small, black and white flyer that asks Saskatoon voters to scan a QR code, and to visit a specific website is being hand delivered in some neighbourhoods, including Brighton.
The flyers, in at least one case, were delivered by a man on a bicycle, with no visible election or election related identification.

In a brief statement, Shellie Bryant, Elections Saskatoon returning officer, says she’s been informed about the flyers.
“Elections Saskatoon is aware of a flyer being distributed to residents in some Saskatoon neighbourhoods asking recipients to register to vote with a QR code. This is neither an Elections Saskatoon nor a City of Saskatoon communication,” the statement read.
The flyers read “Join us in building a liveable Saskatoon,” and provides a QR code, with a website linked to it, called “liveableyxe.ca.”
However, there is no group or personal contact information on either the flyer or the website that would identify the person or persons distributing the material, or why they are doing so, including a telephone number or address.
Bryant says if voters are looking for reliable voter information, they should go to the city’s website.
Saskatoon Police aren’t aware of any complaints about the flyers, or whether it could be a criminal matter.
