Some road closures will go into place around downtown Saskatoon on Thursday and Friday ahead of the Nutrien Fireworks Festival.
The free festival runs on Friday and Saturday nights, featuring two unique fireworks displays choreographed to music, as well vendors, food and other entertainment. The fireworks will be launched at 9:30 p.m. each night.

To accommodate the festival, the city is putting several road closures into effect. The roads are set to reopen by 1 a.m. on each day, the city noted, and detours will be in place to guide drivers around the closures.
Starting at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Spadina Crescent will be closed between Third Avenue and 20th Street.
Then, at 9 a.m. on Friday, Spadina will close between Second and Third avenues. Third will also be closed between 19th and 11th streets, including the Traffic Bridge.
At 6 p.m. on Friday, Fourth Avenue will be closed between 20th and 12th streets, including the Broadway Bridge.
“Saskatoon Transit will be affected by these detours,” the city added. “Transit service alerts and real-time bus information are available on third-party apps like Transit and Google Maps Transit on desktop.”
