10:00 – A new regulatory proposal by Health Canada could require a Tobacco Annual Regulatory Charge which would recover tobacco-related costs from tobacco companies. Rob Cunningham, senior policy analyst for the Canadian Cancer Society, joins Tamara Cherry to explain this proposed change.

Neil McArthur, director of the Centre for Professional and Applied Ethics at the University of Manitoba, joins Tamara Cherry to delve into educating our kids about artificial intelligence and why its important to talk about in our classrooms.
11:00 – The Canadian Medical Association (CMA) is recommending that out-of-pocket fees at the doctor’s office should be banned. Dr. Joss Reimer, president of the CMA, joins Tamara Cherry to share why it’s important to do away with fees at primary-care physician’s offices.
11:30 – The community of Prince Albert has been shaken after the killing of Trevor LaPlante, a beloved community member. A peaceful rally to remember Trevor is taking place on August 7th in Prince Albert. Rally organizer, Jeff Perehudoff, joins Tamara Cherry to discuss the event.
11:45 – A Swift Current band has been selected as one of the top FIVE rock and roll bands in the America’s Next Top Hitmaker contest, put on by Colossal and Rolling Stone Magazine. The band is competing after releasing its first EP last November. Lead singer and band front man for Tombstone Whiskey, Darrin Schwartz, joins Tamara Cherry to talk about making it this far in the contest as a Saskatchewan band.
