The road to Gull Lake has reopened after a CPKC train partially derailed, blocking the entrance and exit into the town of Gull Lake from the Trans-Canada Highway on Sunday.
CPKC spokesman Terry Cunha said in a statement that 18 cars of the train carrying potash derailed about 5 p.m.
He said there were no injuries, and no threat to public safety, and CPKC crews are cleaning up. The cause of the derailment is under investigation, Cunha said.
Earlier, Swift Current Rural RCMP attended the scene.
