A 17-year-old boy was arrested after a group of masked people armed with machetes and a gun robbed a man on the street in North Battleford, on Friday.
According to the RCMP, the victim – an adult man – was walking in North Battleford on July 12, when he was approached by a grey SUV.
“A group of individuals, wearing black face masks and armed with machetes and a firearm exited the SUV and approached the adult male,” the RCMP said in a statement.
“The suspects pointed a firearm at the adult male and demanded his wallet.”

Police said the victim wasn’t hurt during the robbery.
The RCMP said officers spotted and arrested one of the alleged robbers while responding to a different call on Sunday in Battleford.
The 17-year-old boy – who can’t be publicly named due to provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act – is now facing charges including robbery with a firearm, possession of a weapon contrary to an order, pointing a firearm, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The RCMP asked anyone with information on the robbery to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
