10:00 – A new drug treatment court, Saskatchewan’s third, is opening soon in North Battleford. Judie Birns, manager of drug treatment courts in Saskatchewan, and graduate student Darrian LaPlante, join Evan to talk about the success of the programs in Moose Jaw and Regina, the purpose these courts serve, how they work and what this third iteration of the program will look like.

But according to Dr. Victoria Talwar, chair of and professor in the Department of educational and counselling psychology at McGill University, it’s the time parents are spending looking at their own screens that can be the most detrimental to children. Dr. Talwar joins Evan to share why the habits of parents can be so influential on children.
