A 55-year-old man was taken to hospital on Saturday after he was allegedly attacked by a man wielding an axe.
Police were called to Avenue C just before 10 a.m. for a report of an injured person. When officers arrived, they found the victim with serious injuries.
“The victim told police he had been attacked with an axe by another man,” the Saskatoon Police Service said in a statement. “The suspect and victim are believed to be known to each other.”

Last Friday, police responded to a call about an injured 18-year-old woman on Fourth Avenue North. The victim reported being attacked by two women with a hatchet, and was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
