An alleged attempt to get away from police ended up stopping two women in their tracks in Saskatoon.
According to the Saskatoon Police Service, late on Monday night, officers tried to stop a vehicle in the 1800 block of Idylwyld Drive North — officers said the vehicle matched the description of one that had been flagged for an earlier hit-and-run in North Battleford.
When the officers turned on their emergency lights, police said the suspect vehicle accelerated over a curb, disabling the vehicle.
Two women got out and ran off, according to police. Both were arrested a short time later.
