Saskatoon Police respond to domestic dispute after a woman found on roof

On Thursday afternoon Saskatoon Police responded to a report of domestic disturbance on the 700 block of Weldon Avenue.

Police were called to the residence shortly before 2:00 p.m., for a report of a domestic disturbance involving an injured woman.

The woman reportedly climbed through a window and onto the roof of the residence where she then gained the attention of someone passing by.

When officers arrived on scene a perimeter was established for firefighters who were able to get the woman off the roof and treated by paramedics.

Through the investigation, officers have learned that a possibly armed male suspect may still be in the residence.

Following several attempts to contact anyone inside and order them out of the residence, police found the residence to be clear.

Police are continuing to investigate.
