Saskatchewan is enjoying a run of good luck this week.
In 24 hours, over $6 million in prize money was won in the province, while two men earned bragging rights on the golf course.
Ashley Gaspers is $125,890 richer after claiming the 50/50 jackpot Tuesday night at Sasktel Centre.
The jackpot from Game 7 of the Western Hockey’s League’s Eastern Conference Final between the Saskatoon Blades and Moose Jaw Warriors was one of the largest given away in Blades history.
That same evening, the Western Canada Lottery Corporation announced a Saskatchewan ticket holder won the Western Max draw, worth $1 million.

Meanwhile, it appears someone from Saskatoon is a multi-millionaire. The winning ticket from Wednesday’s Lotto 649 draw worth $5 million was purchased in the Bridge City.
The good fortune didn’t stop at the lottery terminal. It carried over onto the golf course on Wednesday evening, as two Prince Albert golfers each hit a hole in one.
Making the feat even more rare is the fact the coveted golf shots happened on the same course — the Cooke Municipal Golf Course.
