A 51-year-old man from Radisson is facing charges after he allegedly threatened officers at the RCMP detachment in Warman.
According to a release from the Mounties, the incident occurred Monday at around 11:20 a.m. Police said a vehicle was seen “driving directly” at the detachment, but stopped just before hitting the building.
“The lone occupant, an adult male, exited the vehicle armed with a bladed weapon and (started) uttering threats,” the release said. “Officers attempted to de-escalate the situation through several verbal commands. The male did not comply and officers deployed OC spray, commonly known as pepper spray.”

Police said the man was arrested and then “decontaminated and provided with a first aid assessment due to the effects of the OC spray.”
The man was charged with one count each of assault on a police officer with a weapon, uttering threats, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
He made his first court appearance Tuesday in Saskatoon.
