A 24-year-old man has been charged with aggravated assault after allegedly stabbing a teen boy several times in downtown Saskatoon on Monday afternoon.
Police said officers were called to an area near the intersection of 21st Street East and Second Avenue South at around 4 p.m. after reports of “an altercation on the sidewalk.”
When police arrived, they found the 15-year-old victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was taken to Royal University Hospital where police said he is in stable condition.

“After further investigation, officers were able to obtain video evidence and identify the suspect,” the Saskatoon Police Service said in a statement.
“Members of the Bike Patrol located and arrested the suspect later in the evening.”
Police said the victim and the alleged attacker were not known to each other.
In addition to the assault charge, the 24-year-old man was also charged with breaching court-ordered conditions.
