8:30 – Saskatchewan will not remit the carbon tax on natural gas used for home heating to Ottawa. Dustin Duncan, the minister responsible for SaskEnergy, joins Evan.
9:00 – In a Saskatoon City Council meeting earlier this week a motion was brought forward to create a buffer zone between any shelter and elementary schools in response to a proposed shelter location in the Sutherland neighbourhood. The swift action of council to shut down the proposed shelter on the east side of the city has many residents in a west side neighbourhood questioning why the same wasn’t done when a shelter opened in their community. Pastor Robert Pearce with Fairmont Baptist Church in Fairhaven feels their community has been ignored and abandoned by Saskatoon city council. He joins Evan.
9:30 – Former Canadian prime minister Brian Mulroney has died at age 84. Former 650 CKOM radio host John Gormley served as an MP for the Progressive Conservatives under Mulroney in the 80’s. He joins Evan.

11:30 – After 5 1/2 hours of deliberations yesterday, the six-member jury in the Myles Sanderson death inquest found the 32-year-old’s death was an accident. CKOM Senior Reporter Lara Fominoff joins Evan to discuss the recommendations offered by the jury.
12:00 – The 2024 Montana’s Brier gets underway today in Regina with the top 18 men’s curling teams from around the country competing for the national title. Al Cameron, the Director of Communication & Media Relations for Curling Canada, joins Evan to discuss the tournament and all of the festivities surrounding the event.
