Icy roads delay recycling pickup in parts of Saskatoon

Saskatoon’s winter roads have left some of the city’s recycling bins untouched.

According to the city, the most recent biweekly collection of some blue carts was not fully completed because of icy road conditions.

New pickup dates for recycling have been set for this week in a number of neighbourhoods.

According to a release from the city, recycling will be picked up from the following areas on Wednesday:

• In Lakeridge: Lavalee Court
• In Forest Grove: Delayen Court, Laura Avenue, Bruce Street, Bradwell Avenue, Birch Place, Wilkinson Crescent, Spruce Place, Addy Court, Addy Crescent and Cruise Street
• In Sutherland: The 200 blocks of Grant Street, Imperial Street and James Street

On Thursday, recycling will be picked up in the following areas:

• In Westmount: The 200 and 300 blocks of Avenue I North and Avenue J North
• In Kelsey Woodlawn: The 1300 block of 1st Avenue North

The city asked residents to place their carts out at 7 a.m. on the dates of collection.
