The Burstall Credit Union sustained extensive damage after a tractor was driven into the building and the ATM was stolen early Sunday morning.
According to the Hilda and area crime watch group, around 4 a.m., individuals took a front end loader from the nearby municipal compound and shop. The tractor proceeded to the local credit union branch, where it smashed into the building.

The suspects were able to retrieve the ATM and got away in a dark-coloured pickup truck, which was later reported stolen.
The amount of cash in the ATM is unclear but amounts of $25,000 are common.
The Cypress Credit Union issued a statement to its customers on Facebook saying contractors are on site to asses the damage.
The branch will remain closed until further notice.
Burstall is located 200 kilometres west of Swift Current near the Alberta border.
