A multi-vehicle crash knocked out the traffic signals at a busy Saskatoon intersection on Tuesday.
According to police, officers were at the scene of a collision at the intersection of Eighth Street East and Clarence Avenue South shortly before 3 p.m. At the scene, it appeared a pickup truck had crashed into a gas station.
“As a result of the collision, the traffic lights at the intersection are not operating,” the Saskatoon Police Service said in a statement.
“This is causing traffic to be backed up in the area. Motorists are asked to find an alternate route, if possible.”
Police said updates will be issued when more information is available.
