A drinking water advisory was issued on Tuesday afternoon for the southwestern town of Maple Creek.
The alert was cancelled just 66 minutes after it was issued, but soon reappeared on the SaskAlert website.
According to SaskAlert, the now-cancelled precautionary advisory affected the entire community and anyone who accesses the town’s water system.
“Boil water for at least one minute prior to use,” the alert read.
“This includes for drinking purposes, washing of fruits and vegetables and brushing teeth. Do not drink from any public drinking fountains supplied with water from the public water supply. Use an alternative water source known to be safe.”
One area of the town was placed under a precautionary drinking water advisory on Nov. 20.
