Around 4:10 a.m. on Sunday, officers received a report of an armed person at a home in the community. They quickly determined an armed man wasn’t allowing two women to leave.
Officers set up a containment area and while doing so, the man exited the home and was subsequently arrested. Police also seized a firearm.

He’s been remanded into police custody and will make his next court appearance in La Loche on Dec. 4, 2023.
