The temporary, three-year pause is in place for home heating oil for Atlantic provinces, but excludes other forms of home heating and other parts of the country. 12:00 – New and improved batteries are needed to meet the rising global demand for electric vehicles. Using the readily-available material, sulphur, researcher Justin Kim is studying all-solid-staet lithium sulphur batteries that can store nearly 10 times the amount of energy as a traditional battery. Kim joins Gormley to further discuss his research and a future where these rechargeable batteries might find use in aircraft.
